I have a large flv playing with netstream. (all AS2) I have a few “chapters” in the video and I’m struggling with the user clicking on a chapter not yet loaded. Again, this is one flv, the chapters are just points in the video. ie: 5 min video, 7 chapters 0.00-intro, 0.30-chapter1, 1.00-chapter2, 2.20-chapter3, etc…
what to do!? I have plan A and B …
So, I wanted to have my chapter thumbnails behave nicely for this. Ideally I’d LOVE to have the video re-buffer from a chapter point ahead of where it is loaded (plan A). If anyone knows where to point me to accomplish that…it would be beyond awesome!
BUT the plan B I’m on now is trying to set some variables set as the chapters are loading. I have succeeded in getting cuepoints to work (which seems to be the play point), but I want the chapter variables (loaded or not) to know what has been loaded (load point?). In the form of a listener perhaps so that if they open the bottom drawer (navigation) and a chapter becomes loaded it will become navigable.
How do I go about changing some variables depending on what is loaded?
Should I give up on plan A?
Is there a plan C I should know about?
really really hoping some of you might help point me in the right direction!!
