When I use Flash 8 to open .FLA files made with Flash 5 or MX that contain text with the font “Symbol”, the characters are changed. They seem to be organized differently within the font characters set on each Flash version.
As the fonts used for all these and other programs are supposed to be the common Windows fonts, I don’t understand why they appear changed.
I’ve got many Flash files with lots of text that I need to modify, so it is very important that I manage to solve this problem. I hope someone can help. Thanks.
