Any body have any recomendations? I want to start making my own fonts.
I swear every single day I beg for Adobe to create one, and I don’t know why they haven’t. You’d think, with how prevalent the business of font design has become over the last few years, Adobe would jump in and try and take a piece of the pie. An Adobe piece of software, which supported native Illustrator format, would be a Godsend for many of us.
However, the only piece of software I know of is the very antiquated Fontographer from Macromedia. I have the program, and it’s not a lot of fun to use. It’s Macromedia from the old days, and doesn’t feature any of the GUI or HCI upgrades that their more popular products have been awarded lately.
Hopefully, someone here knows a better piece of software, because I despise Fontographer so much - that I’ve only ever made one font with it :trout:
:pope:
I searched google - there’s a long list here, but you’ll probably have to sift throught to find anything that’s any good:-\ .
