Fonts dont show

most of the fonts that appear in my font file will not show on my pages, although some do work, such as time new roman and a few other,

do I have to load the fonts into the program ??
Thanks Rock
This message follows my first one

Hey rock,
The fonts have to be installed in your Windows/Fonts folder. Where is the font file? Sorry, I have never heard that term used before. Are you referring to the list of fonts that appear in the Font drop-down menu when you select the properties for text?

To install a font file, copy and paste the font file (with the extension .ttf) into your C<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":"> Windows\Fonts folder. If that fails to display fonts on your system, from the Fonts folder, go to File | Install New Font.

:q: I am having a similar problem. The fonts I am choosing for my page are viewable in my browser because they are installed in my Windows font folder. But when others view the site on the web, they are viewing Times New Roman instead of the fonts I have used. Is there a way to embed the fonts (like I can in Word) so that viewers can see my fonts without having them installed in their Windows font folder? I appreciate your help!!!

Hey Rachel,
The problem is that others do not have the font you used. If you specify a cool font, you must make sure that people viewing the site have the SAME font installed on their computers. The reason other computers are seeing is Times New Roman is that they do not have the font you used installed on their comps. Try changing the fonts on your site to something more popular such as Arial, Verdana, etc.

Cheers!
