i just read unflux’ thread when my mum called me to come into the garden… monsterspider alert! :wink:

its called a zebra spider and is about 3 inches (if im right, 1 inch is about 3 cm?) long (w/ legs). the photos were hard to take because the spider built its net upside down so i had to lie down on the lawn…

pictures were taken with a canon powershot g5, they have a high resolution (you see every single hair) and filesize ( about 1,5 megs)

thanks, im not very used to taking photos and to the cam of my father, so its quite hard for me to make good photos, but thanks…

scottish terriers? in austria they are called zebra/wasp spider (translated of course :+) )

This probably has something to do with a boy called Richard Gunning (this moment is imprinted indelibly on my memory) who dropped a spider down the front of my dress when I was in junior school…
