First of all, I’m not a Microsoft fan and I also don’t hate them
O.K. here is my problem:
I’m making a new flash site (in 70fps). When I’m testing it in IE6, it looks the same as in Flash’s “test movie”. But, when I test it in Netscape, Mozilla and Firefox, Flash performance (fps) drops by 20-30%. With Opera browser it’s even worse (50-70% dropdown!?!).
Do you have the same experience and is there any special code to put in HTML to speed the movie in other browsers. I would like to keep <param name=“quality” value=“high”>
Btw. What is your opinion, what is the optimal fps in Flash? I have seen some movies running at 90fps and higher, and it seams to me that sometimes preloaders run smother on 30fps than on 70fps.
Please all of you with a lot of experience give some comments!!!
