It runs a bit slower on the browser, than compared to the application envirnoment

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone every had this problem…

When you test your flash movie in Macromedia Flash MX or MX 2004 it runs at a certain speed corresponding to the fps you’ve set in authoring envirnoment. However do you find that it runs slightly slower when you publish the flash movie onto the web? :h:

Is there anyway to get around this problem apart from increasing the fps. Or is there an attribute or tag that we can set in the html file that indicates it’s correct fps?

Thanks for reading, any help or suggestion would be great

best regards,
Mike

This is due either to a slow computer (it will run slower outside of Flash because you are now using even more memory since you launched your browser) or the fact that when you launch a browser, it needs a little time to officially start up and Flash animations in it will naturally run a little jerky until it’s fully booted up.

If none of these seem likely it’s possible your code is a little non-CPU-friendly and needs a little tidying up. This is a pain in the butt to do!

Thanks for the tip

p.s. the computer I’m using right now is 2.2 GHz, probably just my code. However my code never uses more than 30 percentage of my CPU usage :h:
