I like Xbox Game Pass, but it has absolutely wrecked my patience for slow games. If something doesn’t grab me in 20 minutes, I’m already back in the menu installing something else, which is not how I used to play at all.
Buying a game used to trap me in a good way. I’d stick with the weird opening hour, learn the systems, and usually find the part where it got great. Now the buffet is so big that half the fun dies before the game even gets a fair shot.
