I am pretty sure that the stereotype is not true all the time but I can say that I am horrible in mathā¦pathetic even and I dread every second of it that I ever had to take from grammer school all the way through college⦠I usually passed but the few Cās I ever got in school were always MathāGive me english, give me a language anything like that and I will learn it in and out but not Mathā¦
There are just as many girls who like Math as guys who like Math, and girls who hate Math as guys who hate Math.
e.g. I am a Math/CS major, hoping for a PhD in AI. I get high 90s in anything Math related, and low 70s in anything English related. I usually donāt try when it comes to Math, although I occasionally spend my spare time reading about Math. I have once failed in an English class even after trying my absolute hardest. (I do like reading though.)
However, my boyfriend is an English Lit. major, hoping for a PhD in whatever he can get. He gets high 90s in anything English/Philosophy related, and is afraid of numbers. He doesnāt try in school, and spends his spare time reading and writing and not doing arithmetic, and he hated high school because of Math classes in which he studied 24/7 and still ended up with a 49% (one less than a pass).
Most of my high school was actually like that- the girls excelled in mathematical subjects, while the guys were generally better at history/english. Guys also seemed more interested in hardware and mechanics, although there were quite a few girls who broke that mold as well.
Anyway, my point was:
