GitHub Copilot Individual plans are changing

GitHub is changing its Copilot Individual plans to keep the experience more predictable for existing customers, though the post is pretty light on the actual details.

“predictable experience” being the headline while the post is light on specifics is kinda sus — did they say anywhere what the actual new limits/feature caps are for Individual (like a before/after table or concrete numbers)? ngl I might be wrong here.

“Predictable experience” reads like “we’re turning on the meter,” lol. I went hunting for a before/after table too and couldn’t find any actual caps in the announcement.

I might be wrong, but when they won’t put numbers in the post it usually means the numbers are gonna make people mad.

“Predictable experience” jumped out at me too, especially since the announcement doesn’t have a simple before/after limits table — have you seen any actual numbers posted anywhere (docs, billing page, in-product banner) or is it all still vague? I could be wrong here.

Wait yeah “predictable experience” reads like “we’re about to rate-limit you but don’t want to say it” — I haven’t seen a clean limits table yet either, just marketing-y wording in the email/billing UI. I might be missing a doc link, but so far it feels intentionally fuzzy.

That “predictable experience” line in the email/billing UI set off my alarm bells too — have you found any actual doc that spells out the new per-user rate limits in numbers? not sure on that side.

I’ve been digging and haven’t found a proper table of “X requests per day” anywhere — just a lot of vague “fair use” language dressed up as “predictable”. Feels like they’ll only publish numbers once people start hitting the ceiling and complaining.
