Hey guys, thought I would stop in and let everyone know that the family and I are going to Alaska for 6 months. The wife got an internship at a birth center in Juneau and we are leaving at the end of this month! I went an bought us an RV last week in phoenix and drove it back to Austin. Now we are all scrambling to get things ready for the trip. 
I am getting a DirecWay satellite and going to live and work out of the RV with the kids while she is working, it is going to be so cool. The kids are super excited. I have being planning the route we are taking and it is about 3700 miles. I have figured that once we are out of the US, we are half way there. We are going to Skagway AK and then taking a ferry south for a day to Juneau because there are no roads to juneau, have to go by boat or plane.
