I don’t think the Avalon developer left to work on an OS…at least I don’t think so. He may have experience in something like GUi-design or something, and he may be used for helping them on their rumored browser, a gMail client, etc.
The concept floundered, but programmers note that Google could easily pick up the ball. Already, its Gmail free e-mail system gives users 100 megabytes of storage space on a remote network — providing consumers a virtual hard drive.
Gmail gives 1000mb of free space not 100… Very interesting though, we will probably know what they are “cooking” quite soon.
“Google’s strategy is to throw a handful of seeds and to see what grows,” he said.
Any company that is willing to give Monopolysoft competition is okay in my book…
there’s nothing wrong with monopolies!~
Yes there is… monopolies stifle consumer choice…
Consumers are free to try whatever they wish to use! It’s not as if people are forced to use MS products, nor are they forced to stay with them.
Monopolies rule

Would Love to see something like a GMail client… Something like outlook… something to replace outlook.
I can see myself using a GMail client only if the messages will be stored remotely. I really like gmail simply because I can access the information from any computer
don say it…that will never happen
google hired some minds from microsoft…but is only that “some minds” (a minimal part) of what microsoft really have.
That’s what I came to do in this thread when I saw the error on the homepage news section.
By the way: GO GOOGLE!
Oh god how great that would be…
EDIT: Come to think of it. My friend’s dad was just hired by Google to work on Gmail… He used to work for Hotmail. Lol, Microsoft suckers…
