September 19, 2004 – Google, $1.67 billion richer from its August initial public offering, is spending its money poaching the brightest minds from arch-rival Microsoft and other tech giants.

Google’s not really attacking MS, they’re just bribing MS employees by giving them these awesome hats.

It’s business - all companies do this. For every talented employee that leaves a successful company like MS, there is another qualified person to take his/her place :slight_smile:

And desktop linux is seriously scaring them… first they ignore you; then they laugh at you; then they attack you; and then you win.
