I read a story on MSNBC.com where they are trying to introduce the [size=2]Guinea Pig as a meal here in the states. I don’t know about you but I find it pretty offensive. That’s because for the past 4 years my 11 year old has had one for a family pet. At first I even joked about cooking it up but after holding one, hearing it purr, and realizing it really needs and cares for its owners companionship almost as much as a dog does I couldn’t eat one, even if it was life and death.
So let’s hear from the people that love eating them. I’m truly interested in hearing why you like it and if you too like to serve it up with the head still on the plate staring up at you like they do in Peru, where they eat 65 million of them a year.
