Hey all…
I’m not too sure where I’d place this thread, so if any mods want to move it to another section of the forums, please do so.
But my roommate has a big time problem with his laptop. I told him a few weeks ago that he had too little space on his drive and that the thing was way too defragmented.
Now, his laptop won’t even start up into Windows. It keeps giving this blue screen saying UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. I looked it up on Microsoft, and they said he needs to download a patch and critical update… but how is he going to do that when it won’t ever load up?!
I thought the only way he could get his important data back would be to somehow plug the drive into a desktop machine as a slave via a sleeve adaptor of some sort and get his stuff back that way.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix it without going through all that trouble?
