I want to make a newsflasher but everytime i want to put the component into flash it says an error that he does not know such a file. I’m using flash mx so what can be the problem here?
or does somebody know how to properly import the mxp file?
You need the macromedia extension manager for the MXP files ( http://www.macromedia.com/exchange/em_download/ ).
But your problem may be this what you are exporting as.
Go to File/Publish Settings. And on the Flash tab make sure Flash 6 is chosen on the drop down menu, then click “OK” then save your file. Since components can’t be used with Flash 5, they are not supported for the Flash 5 player, so you cannot use them if you are exporting as Flash 5.
