[font=verdana, arial, helvetica][size=2]I’m very much a novice in flash and I really want to make a cartoon starring my comic strip characters, I’ve checked out many online (free) tutorials on the subject of creating a flash cartoon, but they’ve only explained enough to me to a point.
What I’ve done so far is I’ve made the pencil sketch of one of my characters, scanned it, imported it into flash, traced it in flash, and colored it. Now what I need to know is the next step. I know basically that the next step is to split up the character into body parts, and save each one as a movie clip symbol, but in having tried that, the body parts don’t come out very neatly when I cut them with the lasso tool, (so am I’m supposed to be using the lasso tool to cut the parts?)
I’ve tried making the whole character into a movie clip symbol first and them double click certain body parts, and have had them cut out neatly (like an arm for example). But it doesn’t work as well with all the body parts. Also, do I cut the parts out first and then insert a new layer, or insert the layer first and then start cutting?
Lastly, I need to know how do I keep the cut out body parts and things in the flash program’s library? I know they’re all there as I’m working with the symbols, but I’ve noticed once I turn everything off, and go back again, the library is empty and I end up having to start all over again.
Thanks for any help. :beam:
