I’ve been making this website (first time in Flash) with a seasonal-theme to it. Basically, the site has 4 pages in total, each page with a different season (Page 1 - Spring, Page 2 - Summer, etc.). For winter, I used implemented Kirupa’s Flash Snow 3.0 file (found here http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/snow.htm), and it works great – thanks a bunch!
However, I’m facing some problems with it.
Basically, everything works fine as I browse the Winter page, the falling snowflake effect works perfectly and all. My page layout is basically all made in flash, with each season having it’s own frame label in the main scene. I added a new layer over the Winter frame label area and basically made a keyframe at the start of that layer and then added the actionscript code instructed by the aforementioned tutorial. So far so good.
BUT, when I shift from the Winter page to say… Summer, the snowflakes are still there.
I’ve been trying to find ways of stopping the falling snowflake animation, but to no avail.
Since I’m still relatively new to Flash, with no real extensive knowledge to actionscript, the actual solution may be simpler than I think.
SO, much gratitude will be given to whoever can get me out of this mess!
