Help on this logo

hi, i want to remodelate this logo, but i dont know what to do, i dont want to loose the esence of the logo ( the letters E and D)
Eberth Designs.

At first glance, I wasn’t able to see the E and the D since it’s too esoteric in design. If you really want to emphasize on those two letters then I suggest simplifying it a bit more.

Also when you’re designing logos, it doesn’t necessary have to be letters, you could use iconography or simple shapes as well.
I’ve seen some great logos that was just a few shapes thrown together. What you have now is pretty close, but I think you could simplify it a bit more. I hope that helps. =)

thanks that helped, but where can i find some shapes, for inspiration hehe =)

Believe it or not, but I often refer to fonts such as webding and dingbat type of fonts to get inspiration for logos and they turned out well. Of course I do some modification of the fonts though like rearrange them to make different shapes. Just go to any font site and most of them will have those dingbat type of fonts. Here’a a good font site that has a huge dingbat section you can go through for shapes. =)

well if you still want to use that logo then maybe just add some simple filters on PS…

also i would suggest a different colour… that one seem to be a bit plain… like a generic colour you would get off MS paint.

try a bevel and emboss on it… and maybe an outer glow… sounds simple but probably would make it look alot nicer.

just some tips

is this better?

yes it looks better already…

however…

the edges are still rough and looked etchy… are you saying the jpg at the highest quality? or is it just comming out like that?

Starpromo*

yes, it is the best quality

That happens when you bevel/emboss an image that has jagged edges.

jagged???

what is jagged??

and i applied the bevel to the first image, but i dont know if it is jagged:q:

Jagged means that the edges of your image isn’t smooth.

ohhh
and how can i correct this??

do a one or two point gaussian blur, and then adjust the levels so there are fewer shades of grey. Bingo, softened smoothed edges…

i’ve done that
and this is the result :
but i still dont feel it perfect , hehe, maybe less bright

i agree with eberth…

the logo now looks to be more tackey… the gausian blur has taken away its high quality…

there is a way to get the edges so they are not like that.

i have done it lots before.

im sure i have
