how do you get an effect for when the mouse leaves teh button
i heard its something involving a movie clip that playes when the mouse leaves… please help
I think you mean when the mouse moves over a button, it plays a movie clip. Take a look at the sample FLA I posted, it uses hitTest to play a movieclip. I hope that will give you an idea. =)
he hee nice but what i mean is… it playes a clip when it goes over the button, then when the mouse LEAVES the button, it playes a clip, like it will fade to blue, hten when the mouse leaves it fades back to white… know what i mean?

thats exactly what i mean… like on your site when you go over a button the glow comes in, then when the mouse leaves it the glow fades… is ther esome way to do this without the action scripting?
Actually I’m sure there is probably a way to do it with regular buttons, but that would be really clumsy since MX is capable of so much more?
The buttons on my site use the same hitTest scripting as the sample I just posted. It shouldn’t be too hard to setup, just study the scripting and apply it to what you want.
