Hey folks,
Im taking a digital imaging course this semester that works with photoshop. Im pretty good with PS but Im not much of an artist so I have a hard time thinking of ideas unless the teacher gives us a topic. For our final project we need to pick a poem and create a project that relates to the poem. The only two guidelines are the poem text has to be in the work somewhere and the size can be whatever we want (we can make a poster size, 8x11, tape paper together to make shapes, etc.). The point of the project is to integrate graphics, photos, and the poem text. I picked out one poem I like but have no design ideas, so maybe someone can help brainstorm. Even if you dont like the poem but have some cool project ideas I can always find a poem that fits the design. Here’s the poem I like, its a childhood favorite Shel Silverstein:
Said the little boy, “Sometimes I drop my spoon.”
Said the old man, “I do that, too.”
The little boy whispered, “I wet my pants.”
“I do that too,” laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, “I often cry.”
The old man nodded, “So do I.”
“But worst of all,” said the boy, “it seems
Grown-ups don’t pay attention to me.”
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
“I know what you mean,” said the little old man.
