it looks kind of small on my 1024x768 screen, but some of the white space may be filled in once you get some content.

the banner you have is pretty cool, but the “japanese” lettering you have on the right side throws off the balance of it…it makes it look like something is off
i think that this layout has the potential to be really cool…good luck
