Help!

hello guys! I managed to create my first crafty website using Flash, but the thing is the links is taking ages to load.

Each link is a different .swf files that loads to main movie when click. Is there a way improve this crafty website of mine? I’m new to Flash, I just managed to create the page, by reading the books i bought in the shop.

thanks in advance for those who can help me! cheers!

oh by the way heres the URL of my Crafty website…

http://www.btinternet.com/~remy_cabulao

it didn’t take too long to load (only about 1 or 2 seconds)
but anyway, you should try the optimize feature, it may decrease the image quality a little, but it helps the file size a lot!
also, did u draw your background in flash, or is it an imported picture? if u imported it, u may want to try tracing over it in flash and deleting the image u traced over.

the background was created in Photoshop 7 then imported in Flash. I think the reason why the “pictures gallery” are taking ages to load, is because, each picture has its own layer.

Is there a way to create thesame picture gallery style that has only two layers, with thesame effects, when you click on the tiny square, the picture display with the writing on it?

Because at the moment, the “Pictures.swf” that loads to the main movie has 18 layers (for the pic) and two other layers for the labels and script.

Im sorry to trouble you guys! I hope you don’t get fed up with me answering my questions. thank you very much!

you can have a tiny thumbnail for each picture in the photo section. And when a user wants to see that picture, it loads the external file. That way it reduces your file size. :m:

you mean each picture save it as .swf files? then have a tiny square buttons that loads every .swf pictures to load into it?
