Horizontally moving lines w/random springiness?

I’m trying to create lines that come in from the left and that each stop at a different spot way on the right - you know, basic cool motion lines - all the while fixed at their left-most points off-screen. I want them to naturally spring back-and-forth when they come to a stop on the right side of the screen. Right now I have manually created shape-tweened lines with many (too many!) keyframes, but I don’t like it. In the end I just want a few fixed lines to get springy on the x-axis, but only within a certain area (for example, to spring between x=600 and x=800 randomly. Can someone pass on the code to me and where I should place it?

Your file might be too big to finish uploading. Try putting it in a .zip, that usually works great.

Wow, this has got to be the longest series of posts by the same person I have ever seen :stuck_out_tongue:

its only 8kb… well its worth a try. when i attach it it also deletes the main fla… well at least i saved a backup :smirk:

man, people are really using my smilies…!!

KEWL! :stuck_out_tongue: <- I keep using this one… odd…

I love the new smileys you made Eilsoe :!:

Hmm, I use XP and have no problem at all with it deleting my stuff. Very odd.

I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think that is what Scottie originally wanted. I think he wanted verticle lines that moved randomly horizontally, but instead of gliding, they kind of elastically snapped there.

I tried to find something, but my attempts were almost, but not quite successful.
