I remember in flash 8 … i think… you could specify in the text properties embedding options.
I’m now working with CS3 and don’t see those options… is there some AS2 code that i could insert on frame one to embed a certain font?
I’ve been looking over the documentation for doing this in CS3 and I’m totally confused. Googled it and I come up with a bunch of AS scripts that aren’t really explained. It seems like now you have to add a Font Symbol to your library, which I’ve done - but then you’ve got to link every single instance of text? WTH? IIRC, embedding fonts in Flash 8 was a breeze - it seems like they totally screwed this up.
In linkage for the Font Symbol, I’ve selected “Export for AS” and “Export in first frame” but I don’t think that is enough to actually export the font, is it?
