How to create this clear white look?

I realy want to create this type of look like this site http://www.whoswestudios.com/flashsite.html am been trying to get that clear white floor effect. + also how to get the effect when you click on the bottom left button, the ground where da ball sittin on it changes into a ripple effect.

Ne ideas or tutorials would be great. Thanks!!

the ripple is after effects, and the white floor can be done in PS. I will try to post a bit more later…
