How to make this type of button

I’ve been reading about all sorts of ways to make buttons. Either with the button symbol, or with movie clips, and adding action scripts to the buttons or movie clips. I want my buttons within each green square, which you can see on my website. I’ll have about 6 or so thin rectangular buttons going from top to bottom. at first they are invisible, but when you rollover the green squares a different color rectagle appears with the name of the link inside and when you roll off I want it to fade back to alpha 0%. I’m not sure how to achieve all this. do I put each button in a movie click and then make buttons that say to play each movie clip when on rollover? or do I just do it all by making seperate button symbols? or what? can someone please give me advice on which would be the best way to create my idea. if I’m not clear enough on what I’m looking for, let me know. I’ll try to explain better I guess. thanks.
