Hi I have worked with flash for a while now and i was wondering how you would make a flash movie transparent over an html site or just an image

this is what i want to know how to do www.98kupd.com

At the top of that webpage there is an animation that is mostly text, Look how the animation is on the image but u can still see the image “Arizona’s Morning Sickness”

I just want a tutorial on how to do that Thanks alot

Well that site doesn’t use transparent Flash.

Their top part is flash, most likely in a frame or table cell.

Then their menu and content is HTML.

But you can do transparent Flash on an html page, it just only works in IE, everyone else will see it with a white background. If you still want to know how to make a flash movie transparent…

do you know why are there two tutorials about the same thing?

Yeah, the first one was written for Flash 4, back in the day when this site first got started I am assuming.

The newest one was written with MX (even though the method didn’t change I don’t think).

I think it was just to have an updated tutorial and a better, nicer example of it.
