here’s another site i put up earlier this year. it was designed by my friend’s over at liquid color media and they asked me to develop and animate it.
some compromises in design an dev were made but all in all i think it turned out okay.
i didn’t design the site but i did design the branding and the intro is my concept. the logo can ALSO be seen at the end credits of Gossip Girl on the CW11 on monday nights.
[QUOTE=haam;2329709]here’s another site i put up earlier this year. it was designed by my friend over at liquid color media and they asked me to develop and animate it. the intro was dumbed down a little at the clients request, and there are so many terrible carousels at their request, even tho it was recommended against.
all in all i think it turned out okay.

I expected a lot more with the design after seeing the intro. It started out awesome and was disappointing when the content came in.
From a development standpoint you obviously did a great job, haven’t seen anything from you I didn’t like so far. Props on the dev, poopie on the design.
yeah I really liked the branding and at first I thought the site would be great too. Then i started clicking around and it completely dropped the idea of navigating around with the logo. It sounds to me a lot of the sites problems are due to the client.
Yeah, I’m with Digi - the intro was cool, so the rest of the site was a bit of a letdown. The development seems fine, nothing broken. I really think you should have made it full screen instead of keeping the content in that little area - and it’d be such an easy transition to make it take up the whole browser.
haha! it’s funny you guys are reacting this way. as i mentioned, i created the branding and the intro animation but didn’t have much say over the design.
the intro was actually even cooler to begin with. after you clicked on a clover leaf and it gets bigger, it used to sweep one way or the other on the screen and fly off like crazy, making the animation where the smaller logo comes in from the left once you’re in the inner site more relevant. client wasn’t too keen on all the movement.
the client was definitely certain about the use of carousels as were they concerned about the blue BG gradient, if you watch; it’s different when the clover logo is big than when you’re inside the inner part.
