I am returning to Microsoft!

If you all follow me on LinkedIn, this is probably old news :stuck_out_tongue:

Because of how fast Agents and their related AI activities are moving, I decided to see if we can bake the core capabilities for running them faster/cheaper/safer deep into the OS stack itself. That’s something that Microsoft has a big interest in, so I’ll be returning to my roots and working on figuring this all out with a great group of Product Managers!

Hopefully I can share more about what I’ll be working on with you all in the near future! :telescope:

That sounds awesome! Best of luck!

Congrats!

Also can you nudge someone over there into make a Laptop Studio 3?

After having been doused in (and still into) the Apple ecosystem, I am still coming up to speed on Windows devices.

If anybody does ask for my opinion, I will pass along the feedback :innocent:

I wish Microsoft made a light AR headset that actually runs a real OS. Not a mobile OS like Meta/Apple/Google Headset OSs.

Hololens ran a full Windows OS right? Though, it may not be a light AR device

Hello @kirupa

Microsoft had multiple good products but they keep cancelling them. From HoloLens to surface neo and duo.

My problem is similar to surface pro vs iPads. The surface pro runs actual windows. Now on arm. Why can’t you run something similar on an ar headset like a quest.

Apple Vision Pro runs mobile os but desktop hardware. Apple is limiting their OS a lot both for iPadOS and visionOS. You don’t have terminal or desktop ide like IntelliJ and visual studio for real work.

I wish we can have something similar to what valve is doing. Valve just announced Steam Frame which runs desktop class Linux os. It can load x86 games on it and in addition windows applications and android applications too without being connected to a Computer.

I don’t understand why Microsoft keep abandoning good products. I also don’t know why Microsoft innovation don’t get as much popularity as Apple. It might be something I don’t know. I’m not a product manager. I just think something should be done. Because the future is way cooler working via AR with extremely large windows via a very light headset.
