D’oh!
My TV just died! It was a 42" Gateway plama that we bought on the cheap when the Gateway stores all closed. My bro-in-law worked there so we got dibs on a bunch of cool stuff. Unfortunately, just about everything labeled ‘Gateway’ turned to crap. A while ago, the wireless DVD player/media center thing stopped picking up the wireless network, then about six months later the receiver blew up. Scorch marks and smoke and all that.
THEN, just the other night, the plasma starts acting all wonky. Turns out the 42" plasmas Gateway sold then are crapping out left and right, with absolutely no replacement parts available on the market.
THEN, to top it all off, the neck to my kitchen faucet just broke off. It wasn’t ‘broken’ off, it just kind of fell over.
