This may sound weird coming from a guy who used Flash for 3-4 years, but yeah, I am sick and tired of Flash. Most websites nowadays don’t even employ it anymore, and those that do, they’re ****ing ads, banners, and annoying “CLICK ME SHOOT ME YOU’VE WON!!!” movies. It can sap your bandwidth without you even knowing. Who’s to say what is being loaded behind every flash movie? For example, I just noticed an actual (TV) commercial load onto a webpage. How was it done? I’ll let you figure that out. I saw very little hope for Flash when I began mostly because of how constricted it can be. Now, I have lost all hope for Flash in the future. It doesn’t help now that I found out one of the fellow mods’ account was hacked because of an exploit using Flash. The only websites that actually use them legitly (and don’t get me wrong, some are very good) are portfolio sites and some sites that use them as headers and whatnot. Sorry to say, but Flash, in my opinion, is quickly going the way of animated gifs.
Prove me wrong; what can you do in Flash that you cannot already do with available resources.
