Trying to install DirectX 9.0 and it gives me the error that it hasn’t passed windows logo testing, and does not give me the option to install anwyway. Anyone know how to disable windows logo testing so i can install directX 9 and/or get around this?
- right click on My Computer or hit windows key+ Pause Break
- Select the hardware tab and then click on Driver signing
- Now set your permissions how you want them

Ive tried all the obvious ways to disable Windows Logo Testing and what i have found out is that my Windows XP went kamikazi on me and thinks of itself as pirated.
Anyone know of a way to either call Microsoft (went in circles on their site for hours already) or a way to de-pirate my windows.
I really don’t care if it is the legitimate way to disable it.
(PS - Yes, my windows came stock on my Dell computer, called dell and they had no idea what was going on 
)
Funny thing i just found, it cost $245 just to call microsoft heh…
