ok… lets say you take a couple of autosnaps with a webcam… then you take those pics and you trace them in flash…
how would you figure out animating the transition from one traced image to another? (so that you have one object that morphs, rather than two objects)
you get what I’m saying? it’s kinda like doing a cartoon animation…
I tried doing something like that with the intro to my website… I used the cutout filter in photoshop to make the images, and I just vary the alpha of the images in the timeline… I’d rather use trace in Flash, though.
The only way you could really do it that I know of is to use the shape tween function, and a lot of shape hints. You get 26 of them, and I think you’d probably use them all, if you’re dealing with photographic type images.
If you have 2 traced images spaced apart on the same timeline then you just do a shape tween. This isn’t going to look like a cartoon style animation.
If you want it to look like a cartoon style then you take a character and separate all his moving parts. E.G. Make the character a movie clip then go in and put his a arms on a layer each and his head on another layer and his mouth on jet another layer. Keep doing this until he has all his body parts separated. Make each body part a symbol.
Now you can use a combination of motion tweens and key frames to animate the character.
To make the mouth look real, you have to draw all A, E, I, O, U shapes your mouth makes.
All my animated cartoons are at the office so I can’t upload anything just yet. Let me no if you want me to upload one later.
