I'm so sad.. i have no life

Yes, it was deleted.

d*mn! I wanna know what happened! :stuck_out_tongue:

right anyway, time to face my destiny/grisly demise - catch you lot later! have a nice day! … AT WORK! :beam:

Good luck mate.

Aww I was enjoying that thread :P:P

  • Soul :s:

Playstation programming.

what like games or the console

Because PS2’s are made on Linux (just to get up Microsoft’s nose)

Anyway that thing you said Kit about your degree not being worth the paper it’s printed on, that may be how you feel about it but I bet it is good thing to have. When you go for a job most people don’t care if you can make web sites like a pro or program NASA space rockets if you can’t prove it you don’t get anywhere.

So don’t knock:sigh:

not everyone gets the chance to go to Uni. and do Computer Science courses.:sigh:

It was handy for getting my first ever proper job after graduating, because aside from that I had no real experience. But ever since then, people have been more interested in what else I’ve done, not my degree. I suppose it does look good on a CV.

Yeah

plus all the stuff you have learnt like on you site were you have a massive list of different codes you’ve learnt.

Anyway shouldn’t you be working at 11:15?

I’m a woman, I am multitasking. :beam:

Well, I did a couple of languages at A Level, and then a whole load more at degree level. I guess it looks pretty geeky when you see that list. :sure:

But I could never make up my mind whether I wanted to design or code, so in the end I opted to do both.

multitasking!

does your boss know?

Haha, yeah right. :stuck_out_tongue: Anyway, he’s too busy trying to book his honeymoon to notice what I’m up to. :stuck_out_tongue:

I work quickly and I have never missed a deadline yet. :beam: Besides, I need er… screen breaks?

CLASSIC!

i was on the Churchill site recently, i just wish i had a cradit card i want one of that nooding dogs…LOL

Ahhhhhhh… YES

Argh! Not that dog! That’s forced into my email sig every time… :sigh:

I <i>hate</i> that dog. :stuck_out_tongue:

The site is getting redesigned at the moment. By me. Mwa ha ha!

whats wrong with the dog?

i bet you don’t like the ads either do you?

anyway i have to get back to doing nothing (Mr. no job)

and you should… well… take a screen break… LOL:smirk:

PS good luck with the new site Kit (not theres any thing wrong with the one now:sigh: )

Cheers.

I don’t like the current one myself, it grates on me. My new one is way different. I’ll never get it past the Marketing dpeartment, but what the hell?

And the ads irritate me too. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s alright when you don’t work here surrounded by nodding dogs. There’s on on the desk opposite me. It just sits there nodding all day. I’m going to stick a pen in it’s head.

how could you want to do that?

look at him!

they should make a stress ball one for you Kit.

anyway are you at work now, what do you do there?

apart from make the new site that marketing will not like and look at a nooding dog:sure:

Yeah, I’m at work from about 9 - 6 each day. What do I do? Surf these forums all day.

Basically I’m the web developer and designer for the company. I do churchill.com and all the other companies we own, like the insurance bits of Nationwide, CSG claims, NIG, Devitt, Inter… There’s loads. also do all the banner advertising, online graphics work, intranets, extranets… I’m trying to build a shopping cart merchandising system at the moment as well. :beam:

Actually I do a lot. Not that you’d know it, half the time. :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah you do, i was thinking you just talked on here but you really do do alot of stuff … and talk on here.:thumb:

i take it your not the only one becuase that is WAY to much work for one woman and her dog …LOL, i love that dog:)

Nope, I’m the only coder / designer here.

Everyone else in eCommerce is a project manager - they write the specs and I make the pages, do the graphics etc. There’s a development house over in India that deal with the transactional pages and the quotation engine, but otherwise, it’s just little me. :beam:

whaaaaaaat! :!:

that is amazing, really, i make web sites just to learn how to do it but i have a VERY short attention span do i keep changing them then i get board making them from nothing. (when of my many weird things)

good luck doing Everything then re-doing it becuase of marketing:sigh:

LOL

Marketing are my stumbling block. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s fun, it’s a great job. Lots of responsibility.

Although I reckon we’re going to get bought out by Direct Line in the not too distant future…
