Internet Options Problem, help help help

Hi

This morning I was about to delete the temporary internet files, and I needed to adjust the cookie settings under Internet Options.
Strangely that I couldn’t even access Internet Options. It says something like this:

“This operations has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect of this computer. Please contact your system administrator”

I’m running on XP, and I’m the only one who use this computer (notebook).

Any idea as how to solve this problem?

Thanks

Hmm… Not sure… Might have restricted yourself from being able to access the options in your IE… hehe… Not sure how to fix this off the top of my head… And I use 2000 Primarily… So…

Hmm…

boot up into safe mode

at the log in prompt type “Administrator”

hit enter (no password…unless you have a password on the adminstrator account).

you should be able to change it now.

You need to make sure you local account is part of the local computer administrators group. The other groups do not have proper rights to modify the internet options.

Cheers!
