the fire one looks like an image made up of about 3 basic photoshop tutorials and as a result seems a little tacky. i’d go with the more understated one.
you asked for my opinion so…
i don’t really care for either one. i dislike the simpler one less.
you have some good pieces in your images, but nothing seems to flow together. maybe try changing the fonts? or just starting over
i’m not trying to be mean/hurtful in any way. this is just my honest opinion. i wish you the best of luck.

but why do you need an entry page? You can use simple JavaScript to see if they have the Flash player installed…
It’s just a trend that makes visitors click one more time (plus they have to wait for the images to download before they can “enter”), and is drastically overused…
That said, the image without the flames (flaming logos are an industry joke… sort of a no-no) is still blurry, as if out of focus. As teet said so eloquently, I’m not fond of either.
My suggestion is to put your energy towards the site, and ignore the intro screen, unless you are planning something to warn the visitor about, it is not needed.

I have been posting things in Kirupa for a while. I am actually used to the critism. That’s the main reason I post this stuff.
Not really sure why I am fond of enter pages.
And actually, no tutorials used.

ummm…i like the realism of it, nice photoshop work, but its too big, im running my res at 1280 and i still had to scroll around…just a thought…but who knows? maybe youre going for huge ?
