intro page is nice. design is very clean and easy to follow. the wood table should be on the whole screen, mine appears with white on the right side. and the newspaper container is a little on the small side
don’t fully justify your content text, especially in those narrow columns
not my style of site, but i enjoy it nevertheless
I like it a lot, but some of the text is a few pixels offset here and there (for instance, Post a Message isn’t in the center of that callout bubble). Etc.
Very very close to being a really great site though.
The background image doesn’t fill my browser, looks nasty on the right side because now I have a giant white bar running down the side.
The animations and details are great. The home page that requires you to click to enter is bad, I can’t stand when sites make me do that.
For some reason I just have a feeling that most of it is just a template. Anywhoo…
Ditto to what everyone else said, but I’d like to point out that now there really isn’t any point in having an intro page that just says you need Flash. Adobe says that 98% of users have flash so most of your site visitors are just going to be annoyed that they had to click again to get to your content.
the solution: remove your intro page and build alternate content/flash detect to find out if anyone doesn’t actually have flash.
I agree with graphixboy, no need for the intro…the home, contact and sitemap are too small, but if you want them to stay that size, put some title text on the images to tell me what they do.
Yeah, ditch the splash screen, and make sure the BG works on higher resolution monitors.
thank you all for your comments… i’ll make those changes
It feels like the site gets cut off at the bottom where the nav is. Some parts of it are really well done, but others (like when you first open the site and everything starts moving) are kinda rough.
The black text on the grain of the wood is a tad difficult to read.
The links on the bottom of the page look out of place; almost as if in error of some sort.
Few words with everthing! Good work, but there is always room for improvement
