I’m hoping someone wouldn’t mind helping a complete noob out. I inherited this project from another designer. The client loves it, but doesn’t want to see the preloader fade out each time the page reloads. It is used on multiple HTML pages and each time you go to a new page the preloader replays (if only to fade out immediately).
I realize that the fade is in the main timeline and I must skip forward to avoid seeing the fade. I’ve tried to use Shared Objects to set a cookie and test for it and skip to the appropriate frame. I’ve also tried to test for bytes loaded and skip that way with no luck. Out of sheer frustration, I tried to just skip forward with a gotoAndPlay and still no luck. Again, most my knowledge is just from Googling, so I’m sure I’m just missing some rudimentary piece of wisdom.
