Looking for feedback on look and feel, functionality, and overall experience on a prototype for a jazz/blues band website currently in development.
Site link is a prototype, so core contents are not currently in place - main navigation is functional, but specific text/buttons in each section are for placement only at this point. Those second-tier sections will load into the main movie and will enter via the same curtain transition currently used.
Band plays a combination of original and cover tunes - a mix of jazz and blues, so the request was to create a site that doesn’t betray either style, and conveys the more free and upbeat feel of their big band/jazz tunes as well as the more somber and serious feel of their blues tunes.
Also note, logo is in development as well - band members and management can now (temporarily) click on logo in upper left to cycle through five variations. Logo version indicator at bottom left is also temporary.
