Anyone out there familiar with making a gallery this way? –
a) photos dynamically loaded in from external folder with preloaders for each photo (easy, i’ve done this). NOT a .swf of a bunch of photos altogether. Client wants to be able to change photos whenever.
b) 7 sections of gallery, each section has 12-18 photos. Each time a section is selected, all the photos of that section get loaded in one at a time, in order from 1 - __.
I’m working on a portfolio site for a friend, who is a photographer. I already have a template for such a site, but she really, really wants all photos loaded at once for each section because she does not want visitors to have to wait even a couple seconds looking at a preloader before each pic shows up. she’d rather they wait “much” longer for all to load at once. I have spent a ton of time on this, pretty confident I’d get it right but I couldn’t get them to load in order and somehow i cannot get multiple preloaders to (each) work within one flash movie. I got sick to death of this project and put it on the shelf a little while ago but will have to get back to it again soon. this time with a clear head and maybe some help, which i’ve held off on seeking for a while but i’m beat by now
