Hey

What do you think of the layout and colours on http://www.besgrove.net/kra/

Only the first link works, but you get the idea of it. Trying to keep it nice and simple with short load times for the 56k’ers, like me…

This is my first “real” attempt at a full flash site…

Go on, be honest…

Not bad though I think it would be nicer to have some type of transition play between sections.

Also a bit more color would be nice as well, but good start so far. =)

I’ve put a bit of fade in on the contents.swf, but cant get the text to fade in smoothly… tried up tp 60fps…

Also, can i use a preloader on the external swf that are loaded on to the stage??? I’m loading them in same as in the full site tutorial… I’m just copying the preloader from the main stage movie and pasting it to the front of the movie but it doesnt work…

For the fade in on the text i tried masking it, fading the text in and putting a solid tile on top and fading that out, neuther of these methods were smooooth… Am i doing it wrong???

Are you using dynamic text? That could be a problem when you’re trying to apply a tween to it.

I don’t think this looks bad at all. It is a bit dark, but the layout is
fine and easy to follow. Nice, big content area is a big + for me.

I think once you get more images involved, it will brighten it up, so
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal at this point.

The animation, even the text fade, was smooth as butter for me.
Not sure what you are seeing to fix, but I thought it looked fine
from here.
