I’ve been coding in Actionscript for almost a decade now, and AS3 for the last 3 years but feel that perhaps I should start looking to learn more useful languages.
There are so many different types of languages to choose from I feel my best choice might be to learn something like Javascript or develop for the iPhone/iPad.
The iPhone sdk uses Cocoa, which I gather is based on C, but as I have no experience in anything other than AS3 can anyone offer some suggestions as to where I can start?
I have access to both Mac and PC but would prefer to use mac.
I feel like I need to expand my skills as I can’t apply for any other programming roles right now and I’m stuck using Flash.
Is there any language in particular that would be a familiar stepping stone to AS3?
