Hi all
I am guy who learns actionscript as my first programming language.Before that i was a maths student.now with guys like Kirupa,sen,scotty and all other moderators i found that actionscript is not only to be learnt. I must have knowledge of some other languages also. then i come across language called “python”. i simply start doing somecoding with it. But guys i really dont know where this language lies. will spending time with it be fruitful for me or i shall start learn some php or .net. Please guide me to right way. waiting for ur replies.

i know that python is a very advanced and complex language to learn for starters…
i suggest java, it’s difficult to master, but from there, you could easily master more languages;)

Depends what you want to do…lots of languages have lots of cross overs too, so learning one is kinda like learning another. . In my limited experience Python is little bit on its own and I didn’t have a clue where to start, but someone more experienced in it will be able to fill you in better… Some languages you only need to learn for an hour or two to be able to understand them enough to apply for simple websites…eg html, CSS.
