Hi There
I am trying to make a cd portfolio and during the process I got some issues. I have 4 independent bitmaps animations, however, each animation has over 300 bitmaps. So I decided to create individual SWF for each animation, as I can’t put 1200 bitmaps in one SWF.
When the user puts the CD, it loads a HTML file automatically and the first animation starts with some buttons flying around the screen. When a user clicks on button A, it will load a second animation covering the whole screen.
In that second screen, there will be only one button: “Back to Main”. The user clicks on this button and it goes back to the main menu with all the buttons flying around again. And the same happens for other buttons.
I have already my 4 swf files created, now is to put them linking together that I’m stuck. My 4 swf are displayed in full screen, 900 x 450
Should I create an empty movie clip, put the first animation with the buttons flying around first?
In short:
1.The first animation starts, with buttons (main menu) flying around.
2.A user clicks on button “A”, and the entire first animation disappears and shows the second animation, which has one button saying, BACK TO MENU.
3.Once this BACK TO MENU is pressed, the first animation comes back up and the second animation disappears completely.
4. The same happens for the rest of other buttons.
Will I need to create only 1 target area ? Any help or tutorial will be much appreciated.
I’m not sure how to do that? I read this tutorial of “Loading Movies From A Remote Location” at http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/loadmovie.htm , but it’s not exactly what I need.
**I’m using Flash 8 and the files are loaded from a CD. **
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
