Question…?
In a 30 second splash… would it be better to have all my MC’s on the timeline, or load them as needed… The MC’s aren’t large, so shouldn’t take long to load them in,…My thinking was ‘less frames in the SWF file translates to a shorter load time…’ any suggestions

if its only a 30 second splash/intro, then keep it all in one file, preload the whole thing and it should run fine.
less frames = shorter load time
That is not true. The load time depends on the size of the file which is determined by its content, not how many frames it has in its timeline.
Summary: Only use one file that contains everything…
