i know this question has been asked several times and i ahve been through several past posts, but none of them seem to really answer the question…
Well i have a preloader on an external swf which shows up perfectly fine when it has not been loaded…but when using loadMovie, it does not seem to show again. Below is the files i am using…I hope someone can help me figure this one out

Well actually there’s nothing wrong. Your actionscript is fine incase you thought that was the problem.
Your preloader doesnt show in you ‘main’ swf when you preview it when you use loadMovie because your streaming the ‘main’ swf and not the ‘external swf’. If you want to test is properly you should upload to a server then test it. If you have a fast connection to the internet then add something ‘heavy’ to you swf to bulk up the file size.
