I just published the movie and tested in a browser. It works fine for me. k02n has a point, be sure the loaded movie is in the same directory as the main movie.
Does kitchie have to worry about permissions on the server? (readable, writable, executable permissions I mean)

yes it is!
even if it’s not in the same directory, it won’t work in my HD.

what does it mean?

can you post the snb.swf?
(Permissions would be of the UNIX box and had nothing to do with Flash directly.)

Post the fla file please Kitchie.
Since your using Geocities there should be no problem with file permissions.

No i think your fine with your code. Though try thinking about using dot syntax if your using mx. E.G _root.snb.loadMovie(“snb.swf”);
