I’d like to make it clear that I don’t own the copyright on that logo I posted in this thread. I just put that there so it couldn’t be stolen because of the watermark.

Under the present copyright law, which became effective Jan. 1, 1978, a work is automatically protected by copyright when it is created. A work is created when it is “fixed” in a copy or phonorecord for the first time. Neither registration in the Copyright Office nor publication is required for copyright protection under the present law.

Does this mean that anything i create is copyright under my name?

Yes, unless it is, how you say…a name or ‘slogan’. This mean you can make logo and it copyright yours just then. (<-see my user title)

Yankee… wtf? What’s the deal w/ you “border jumpers” always calling us Yankee’s. I’m not a lawyer man… you’ll have to do your own research. I was just giving a quick solution, to something that seemed to be a big issue.
