Crap. I’d like to do some 3d stuff, any other suggestions?

Hey my friend and fellow Mac lover… don’t let the window’s crowd get you down… they just don’t have a clue because they’ve never used anything better than Window’s based pc’s. Really only the Unix users should be allowed to bust on Mac users… but hey… life aint fair. Anyway… I use both windows and mac based systems, and love em both.

To answer you’re question, No there is no Swift3D for the Mac. I have no clue if there ever will be. Best bet if you have to use it is to get yourself a copy of Virtual PC and a Windows OS. It’s not optimal, I’ll admit… but it’s the only option I’ve seen to work through that problem. At the cost it might be cheaper to just build yourself a windows system as a secondary to the Mac in your house, and link them together in a network.

Sorry I don’t have any better news for ya.

Keep on Mac’in

****… I just wrote this amazing post and accidentally fat fingered my keyboard and lost it… FAWK!

Well I was gonna say networking Macs sucks, they have a freaking hard time getting onto a managed network. Also, in the latest Maximum PC Macs got blown out of the water by both Intel and AMD. If you don’t believe me go by the issue “The Speed Issue”.

Hmm, thought this might turn into a Mac vs. PC thing… Not my intention.

Anyway, I think there is a swift3D for mac but no swish…

hm… are you asking for swift3d or swish? cause they’ll be releasing a mac version of swift 3d soon… not sure about swift though… and… cant you use virtual pc or something and run the windows version?

As a Mac enthusiast myself and a long time board member… I must say that even a sneeze’s worth mention of Mac or anything even near it will spawn into an ugly debate… even when you’re original question has nothing to do with the old tired debate.

I’m looking for both Swish (for text effects) and Swift3D (for 3D) for Mac. There’s no Swish for Mac that I can find, and there is Swift3D for Mac available now (I think).

I’ve used Virtual PC before and to be honest, I don’t think it’s worth it. It crashes constantly, very annoying. I’m tempted to just buy a cheap PC for my Flash needs…
